摘要

The objective of this work is to evaluate metal tolerance of an ecotype of Silene vulgaris grown in polluted soils, which have been previously treated with electrokinetic remediation. Plants were grown in pots with two different soils collected from Madrid Region for a full life of cycle Metals were added according to the residual levels found after electrokinetic remediation. Results showed plant metal-uptake was more related to soil pH than total metal content. Concentrations of Cd, Zn, Cr and Pb increased in plants grown in soils with pH closed to 7, but the increments were not always correlated with metal concentrations in soils. These data provide evidence of metal tolerance for this ecotype of Silene vulgaris from Madrid region. However, soil characteristics and metal bioavailability should be evaluated to use phytoextraction with Silene vulgaris as complementary technique of soil recuperation.
