TRANSPARENT COLORATION OF CLARIFIED POLYPROPYLENE FOR PACKAGING APPLICATIONS

Bottles, containers and other packaging applications are much more appealing when transparent. Color is a key feature for visible packaging products especially in combination with high transparency. Maintaining the original clarity and preferably without haze is quite challenging when the polymer is polypropylene. The presentation gives examples and solutions to the use of new special BASF dyestuff systems and particulate pigments for the successful coloration of transparent polypropylene.
