摘要

Swine influenza is an acute, highly contagious, respiratory disease that results from infection with type A influenza virus. Pigs are the principal hosts of classic swine influenza virus (SIV) subtype H1N1 and H3N2 (2). SIV subtype H1N1 was isolated from pigs with influenza-like symptom in 1990 in Thailand (3). However, both SIV subtypes have been found among pig population in the country as revealed by the serological study and virus isolation (1). Recently, we isolated a new subtype H1N2 from six-week-pigs in August 2006 similar to other (1). The purpose of this study was to investigate the pathogenesis of swine influenza virus (Thai isolates) subtype H3N2 and H1N2 in weaning pigs.
