摘要

Numerical simulation of resistance spot weld process needs many material property parameters, whilst some of them are temperature dependent and very expensive to obtain. The knowledge of material property sensitivity on the simulation result can assist to use available material property data for a satisfactory simulation results in industry application. This paper presents a study of the material property sensitivities on the steel resistance spot weld simulation results using a dedicated the spot weld simulation package. The simulated nugget size and the sheet separation with varied material parameter values are compared. The parameters not sensitive to the simulation result are presented.
