摘要

A combined heat source mode is proposed to account for the keyhole effect and the characteristics of volumetric distribution along the direction of the workpiece thickness. Finite element analysis of the transient temperature field in keyhole plasma arc welding is conducted and the evolution of weldpool is analyzed. The keyhole plasma arc welding experiment is conducted to measure the fusion zone. The predicted results are in agreement with the experimental measured.
