摘要

A two-dimensional finite element modle based on the ABAQUS software is developed, which is about friction Stitch Welding(FSW) of Q345 steel. The remesh and mapping techniques in ABAQUS/Standard are employed to cope with convergence difficulties caused by the nonlinear large deformation of the stud. The contrast results of experimental data and simulation prove that, the finite element model has a certain rationality. The reason for defects appeared in initial stage of welding process easily has been analysed by the calculation results.
