SECURE SPACE LINKS - IMPACTS ON ON-BOARD LINK DATA PROCESSING

摘要

To protect space links by cryptographic means is a mandatory requirement for many future missions, e.g. the GMES Sentinels. The implementation of cryptographic measures on-board a satellite imposes a set of requirements to the data handling system. Especially the performance but also the reliability of the cryptographic elements drives the implementation. In this paper we address the implementation aspects of the necessary cryptographic elements and show implementation examples.
