1. The simultaneous application of nitrate and denitrifying bacteria is very effective in control of SRB-induced corrosion. 2. Accumulation of nitrite due to repeated nitrate applications increases the corrosion rate significantly. 3. It is important to minimize the introduction of air and nutrients (e.g. sulfate and carbon source) into the system during the application.
