Error analyzing and control of complex surfaces in multi-axis NC machining

摘要

Complex surfaces are normally manufactured with NC machining tools. Based on mathematics models of complex surfaces, the types of errors in NC machining are summarized and all kinds of errors in 3-axis and 5-axis NC machining are analyzed, especially the generation of non-linear error and factors which influence it. Then, a control method which reduces non-linear error is proposed, it has been proved correct and effective with cutting experimentation and simulation. It will have meaning on improving NC manufacturing precise of complex surface.
