A VoIP Security Framework for Mobile Devices

摘要

This paper presents the development of a VoIP security framework for mobile devices. The framework is described with two distinct security solutions, SIP running over IPSec and SIP running over TLS with audio packets protected by the SRTP protocol. Both solutions fulfill the goal to offer a user authentication and identification mechanism granting the integrity and confidentiality of VoIP calls. The solution using the IPSec protocol was applied in a test environment integrating technologies and software available for mobile devices. The experiments shown that this solution presented great performance results.
