The trend for SAGD in Canada is towards low pressure steam injection.The primary reasons for this trend are both economical and operational in that low pressure translates to lower operating costs and improved recoveries.1 Low pressure SAGD also requires an artificial lift system(ALS)in order to achieve desired production rates.
