Whole-Ship Simulation in the Design of Surface-Effect Ships

摘要

Naval architects have long employed modeling and simulation as part of ship design convergence. The authors describe the components of one typical whole-ship synthesis model, dwelling upon the challenges associated with the hydrodynamic modeling of resistance. From this description the authors extract a few lessons learned applicable to future whole-ship synthesis tool.
