The drying of hydraulic materials is a much known phenomenon that leads to important spontaneous deformations. This study shows that it is possible to describe the drying shrinkage of the high performance concrete by a simple expression. A multiple regression model has been developed for the prediction of the drying shrinkage of the high performance concrete. The assessment of the proposed model has been done by a set of statistical tests. The model takes in consideration the main parameters of confection and conservation. There is a very good agreement between drying shrinkage predicted by the multiple regression model and experimental results. In addition, the model of regression developed in this study has been compared to other available models in the literature. It has been concluded that the model of regression developed applies easily to other types of hydraulic concretes and describes with large precision the evolution of the drying shrinkage of high performance concretes.
