Tubes and pipes usually have non-uniform mechanical properties and dimensional irregularity generated by unsuitable manufacture processes and inappropriate fabrication treatments. Those non-uniformity and irregularity gives serious influences and damages on strength, secondary formability and other required functions of tubes and products made of them. In this paper, non-uniformity and irregularity of tubes are investigated and their influences are discussed. In addition, effective methods to amend such non-uniformity and irregularity are proposed.
