The polyaromatic ether sulfone(PES-C)/organic vermiculite composite membranes were successfully prepared by phase-inversion method. N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and distilled water were used as solvent and coagulant respectively. The thermal properties of resulting products were examined by thermogravity analyzer (TGA). The results indicated that the weight loss of PES-C in composite membrane was less than that of pure PES-C. The analyses of decomposition kinetics showed vermiculite in the composite membranes can reduce the decomposition rate PES-C matrix. The PES-C/organic vermiculite composite membranes with good thermal stability are convinced to have high potential as high performance heat-resistant materials.
