摘要

An in situ H-detection method was developed for investigating H-uptake from lubricated rubbing contact into bulk steel. H-uptake can be successfully detected and quantified with a semi-quantitative approach. The results indicate that H-uptake can be promoted by additives and contaminants in PAO base oil at different extents. It provides a reliable method for evaluating the capability of oil additives or contaminants in generating/promoting H-uptake.
