Tn this article, a porous nanocrystalline NiCo204 compound electrode was obtained. The precursor powders were prepared by co-precipitation method, and were then deposited onto the substrate (Ni) by electrophoretic deposition, and were finally calcined at 300°C for 3 h. The electrode consists of metal substrate (Ni) and porous nano-crystalline NiCo2O4 film, which consists of stacked homosized and pretty regular hexagonal monocrystalline nanosheets, which were thinner than 50 nm and about 100-500 nm in diameter. The effect of different microstructures of the precursors is investigated in detail, which could greatly affects the final morphology of those nanosheets. Electrochemical properties were investigated, including cyclic voltammogram, polarization curves, and roughness factors.
