PROSPECTS OF APPLICATION OF Pd-Pt ZEOLITE CATALYST FOR DEEP DESULFURIZATION OF DIESEL FUELS: COMPARISON WITH BULK Ni-Mo SULFIDE CATALYST

摘要

Adoption of new diesel fuel specifications: EPA's Tier II program and EURO-V in the USA and European Union, which require drastic reduction of the sulfur content in diesel fuel to 15 ppm (2006) and 10 ppm (2010), respectively, initiated interest to development of new catalysts, providing production of ultra-low sulfur diesel. Other countries are following the footsteps of the industrialized nations to improve the fuel quality.
