Use of Vaccines for Minor Species -Minor Indications

It is generally recognised that one of the most significant achievements of medicine in the past two hundred years has been the development and successful application of vaccines. Spectacular examples illustrating the value of vaccination include theeradication of human smallpox and successful prevention of the spread of numerous infectious animal diseases and reduction of the economic losses caused by them. We can see that the application of new biotechnological and immunological knowledge has opened a new era also in vaccinology: the vaccine manufacturing industry has made great progress, new vaccines have been developed, and the quality, safety and efficacy of vaccines have improved.
