The eight-storeyed mill building covers an area of about 7,000 square meters with 60.5m in length, 28m in width and 43.5m in height. Because of the production requirement, the mill building 28m by 22m by 43.5m must be separated from the entire building by blasting, leaving the rest of it. The article summarizes the successful experience of folding blasting for part removal of the building, the determination of the blasting schemes, the pre-connection and predisposal, the choice of the blasting height, the analysis and description of the initiation network and blasting safety engineering, and the monitoring and analyzing of the blasting vibration. The blasting has achieved the expected effect and can be used for reference in similar projects.
