E.gov, the Government and Citizens: a Study of the Government's Official Web Portal in Brazil

This work is about relations between technological artifacts and societies. Very specifically, we ask how and to what extent can one represent the users of the official governments' sites in the internet by means of so called universal patterns of identity or behavior. A preliminary analysis of the architecture of the sites indicates mat universal categories such as client, citizen, and (purposeful) flaneur apply to user's representation more intensively respectively in the US, in France and in Brazil.
