CONFINING REINFORCEMENT IN POTENTIAL PLASTIC HINGE REGIONS OF COLUMNS : ALGERIAN CODE PROVISIONS AND COMPARISONS OF OVERSEAS STANDARDS

摘要

This paper reviews briefly the Algerian code provisions with regard of confining reinforcement in the potential plastic hinge regions of columns. Also discussed and compared with the overseas provisions: A.C.I., N.Z.S., C.E.B. The code provisions concern the volumetric ratio of confining reinforcement and the length of confined region of column.
