This paper presents a new municipal heat-supply system - multi-heat-source distributed municipal heat-supply system which is made up of heat sources, primary ring-shaped heat-supply circuit, secondary ring-shaped heat-supply circuit, branch line circuit, main and subsidiary substation and heat consuming installations. It is best to choose 3~5 cogeneration power plants or district heating plants as heat sources, and choose differential types of system according to the area of heat-supply service. By designing heat sources and heat consuming installations reasonably, cool or heat and power cogeneration can be achieved, pipe diameter can be less than ever and reliability and stability of the system can be enhanced. When one source breaks down, all user can get at least 70% heat-supply. It is also presented in this paper, such as design method of multi-heat-source centralized heat-supply systems, operation and control, etc.
