Being combined the mathematical model for a hermetic-compressor verified by experiments with that for calculating the thermodynamic properties of refrigerants, the effects of the superheating degree of refrigerant on the performance of hermetic compressor and the transient temperature variation of the compressor shell, the inside unit of crank-motor and refrigerant vapors were simulated and discussed reasonably. Some predicted results are helpful for improving the designing of compressors and how to meet the requirements of substitute for CFCs and HCFCs refrigerants.
