The hydrogen adsorption properties of activated carbon fiber and zeolite loaded with platinum (Pt-ACF and Pt-YZ) were investigated at 303 - 673 K. The increase in the amount of hydrogen adsorbed on the samples loaded with Pt was observed at 303K in the range of 0 - 0.01 Mpa by the chemisorption of hydrogen on the metal, however, the Pt loading did not enhance the physical adsorption capacity of ACF or YZ. On the other hand, the amount of adsorption of Pt-ACF at 673 K was larger than that at 303 K. TPD analysis of hydrogen adsorbed on Pt-ACF previously at 673 K was carried out in an argon flow. The hydrogen released from Pt-ACF above 500 K suggested the presence of the weakly chemisorbed hydrogen on the surface of ACF.
