Geotectonically, Yin'gezhuang Gold Deposit is located in the southeast margin of Northwest JIAO (east part of Shandong Peninsula is customarily called "JIAO" for short―Translator) Upwarping Zone and to the east of Yishu Fault (Fig. 1; See the Chinese Version) of east Shandong Peninsula. The beds outcropped within this area consist mainly of Jia-odong (in Chinese, meaning east part of East Shandong Peninsula) Terrain of Archaeozoic Eonothem, lithologically representing themselves as biotite schist, biotite leptynite, spotty amphibolite, etc. Structures in this area are composed principally of folds and faults, with EW-striking Qixia Anticlinorium as fold structure, and Early, Late Neocathaysian fault Structures and NW-striking fault structure, etc. exhibiting as fault structures. The Neo-cathaysian fault structures constitute the immediate ore-controlling structures within this area. Much developed in this area are the magmatic rocks made up fundamentally of Linglong-typed gneissic biotite granodiorite, dike rocks, etc., (Fig. 2; See the Chinese version) which play an extraordinarily important role in activation, migration and concentration of gold element in the said area.
