A Distributed Secure E-commerce Model With a Non-Secure Merchant Server for Developing Nations

This paper describes a new security architecture for a course management information system designed to support a global distance-learning program as well as a secure credit card processing capability for developing nations that possesses no card processing facilities within their borders. The general architecture is of a network of local education servers offering digital libraries, streaming media, email, chat, databases, and other educational applications.
