Knowledge Management System for Early Design

摘要

This paper describes a prototype system for managing the knowledge related to early product design. It will help accelerate the product development process through the reuse of design knowledge. The system enables designers to capture the knowledge that arises during the early stages of product design, and to organize, view, search and navigate through the design information. The system also supports design traceability by letting users navigate easily through the interlinked design information.
