This paper studies further the relation between the basic frequency equivalent impedance of the TCSC and the basic frequency reactance of the TCR on the base of the characteristic research to the thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) dynamic simulation experiment apparatus. It raises the viewpoint of equivalent capacitor C_T that the capacitor not is a fixed data and is a variable data with control angle β change for TCSC capacitor circuit, and carries out theory analysis, test, and verification. It studies the effect of different basic frequency reactance X_L of the TCR to the resonance point and the controlled range, and the impact to the waveforms and size of the current and the voltage of the thyristor circuit and the capacitance circuit. It obtains the emulation and dynamic simulation experiment result. It determines the proportion relation of X_C and X_L and the selection range of the K.
