The Study and Setup of the Experiment Teaching Project for the Specialty of Highvoltage and Insulation Technique

Based on the requirements of employment to the students of the specialty of Highvoltage and Insulation Technique, the setting methods of teaching project for the specialty of Highvoltage and Insulation Technique are discussed, an experimental teaching project was proposed. This project was verified by the teaching practice, and a good result was obtained. Most students of specialty of Highvoltage and Insulation Technique obtain employment in power generation and electrical equipment manufacture departments. This requires the students to have well-kint basic specialty knowledge and good ability of practice. Based on this fact, the courses in the teaching project include Higevoltage Insulation, Overvoltage in Power System, Highvoltage Experimentation Technique and Highvoltage Equipments. The method of teaching is the combination of viewing test equipments, experiment and classroom teaching. At the last year of teaching, the synthesis experiments mainly about transformer have been carried out. The experiments going with the classroom teaching and in the synthesis experiments include most experiments of the high voltage engineering, such as the ac-highvoltage test, dc-highvoltage test, impulse voltage test and partial discharge test. Through those experiments, students have mastered the methods of test and the using methods of the apparatus used in the test before they taking up an occupation, and their academic knowledge of the book was combined closely with the practice, their ability of analyzing and solving problems was greatly improved .This experimental teaching project is examined by several years teaching practice and a good result was achieved.
