摘要

In this study the preparation of mono-dispersed NiO powder was conducted by aqueous homogeneous precipitation from NiNO_2& urea solution followed by calcination. The influences of reactant concentration, the initial pH of solution and the reaction temperature & time on formation of precursor particles were investigated. The above effects impacted on the final NiO particles as well as the behavior of precursor particles during the calcination were also addressed. TD/DTA, XRD, SEM were used to characterize NiO particles and their precursors. The results from this study prove that the adopted method is technically feasible for spherical, mono-dispersed NiO powder preparation.
