A Comparative Study of Factors Influencing ERP Systems Implementation Framework between a Developing Country and a Developed Country: Case Studies from Thailand and the USA

This study examines similarities and differences in factors influencing ERP systems implementation between a developing country, Thailand, and a developed country, USA. Two sites, one from each country, that match in terms of business size and industry type, were selected for this study. The preliminary results suggest that business process redesign (BPR) experience contributes positively to ERP implementation. Moreover, individualism seems to play significant roles for the company in the USA, whilecollectivism shows more positive roles for the company in Thailand. Femininity contributes positive effects toward ERP implementation in both countries.
