Rejection Of Multi-tone Interference Using Decision Feedback Equalizer For An HF Radio Link

In this paper the performance of HF serial data transmission systems for rejection of multi-tone interference is analysed. Analytic expression for the tap weights and minimum mean square errors of adaptive equalizer in HF serial systems are obtained. The convergence rate of equalizer in the presence of multi tone interference is analysed. The analysis and computer simulation results indicate that the equalizer in HF serial systems can not only track the rapid variation of HF channel but also reject strong multi-tone interference perfectly.
