In the past few years, there has been a significant increase in the use of thermal spray or metallized coatings for corrosion protection in a variety of industrial markets, especially bridges. Coinciding with these developments, there have been dramatic improvements in metallizing technology that have reduced application cost and have improved coating quality. Unfortunately, these improvements have not resulted in problem-free projects.
