Cleaner Fuels Production―an Important Subject in China's Oil Refining Industry in the 21st Century

Environmental protection is one of the important issues in implementing the sustainable development strategy in China. However, the domestic gasoline and diesel products cannot meet the requirement of the more and more stringent environmental laws. Facing the reality of the vast FCC capacity and more high sulfur crude to be processed, we must develop and apply the technologies to reduce olefins and sulfur from FCC gasoline and the technologies for diesel deep desulfurization and dearomatization.
