Performance Evaluation of Distributed Application Development Tools From The Interprocess Communication Point of View

Currently, there are different software tools available for the development of distributed applications. These differences can take to inadequate decisions in terms of the choice between the options. Attempting to avoid these problems, the performance of the interprocess communication is used in this work as a metric to describe the behavior of the tools and, consequently, to support the choice. Thus, this paper approaches the interprocess communication techniques used by some distributed application development tools, aiming at presenting conclusions and results from the performance evaluations realized in three of such tools.
