Digital design education infrastructure using multiple EDA tool vendors and multiple modes of tool access

Generous EDA university programs enable students to have the best of class tools in every phase of a digital systems design flow. Remote access technologies can free students from the captivity of a single dedicated CAD laboratory. This paper describes how one large Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department is exploiting both of these opportunities.
