摘要

The present work deals with the preparation of ruthenium and manganese mixed oxides by thermal decomposition of precursors, to be used as electroactive material on DSA electrodes. On the basis of a structural analysis, the existence of a solid solution of rutile type structure with the stoichiometry Ru_xMn_((1-x))O_2 (≈0.6 < x < 1) has been demonstrated. The behavior of this material for the chlorine electrode reaction has been evaluated, verifying that the mixed oxide has a better intrinsic electrocatalytic activity than RuO_2 when x approx = 0.8
