The application of fibre-reinforced polymers in building structures is slow in spite of their excellent characteristics that make them the most appropriate in some cases. Among the causes of this delay, the lack of experimental knowledge of the behaviour of these materials in the conditions of building processes, loads acting upon them, life-time period, and their connection with other structural elements can be pointed out as the main ones. It is important to characterise the behaviour of the adhesives as a part of a structural bonded joint. The theoretical model of this behaviour is found in the Damage Theory of J. Lemaitre. The results of the previous tests on adhesives are provided.
