Application of Fiber Pushout Techniques to Cortical Bone

摘要

The fiber pushout technique is widely used for evaluating the strength of the fiber-to-matrix interface in ceramic matrix composite materials. We have applied this test method to estimate the interfacial shear strength of equine cortical bone. The results suggest that the interfacial shear strength of equine bone is significantly greater than that of human cortical bone.
