HIGH STRENGTH CONCRETE IN CUBA IN THE 1950's

In the early 1950's, late Professors Luis P. Saenz and Gabriel Fernandez developed and commercialized concrete with compressive strengths ranging from 48.3 to 68.9 MPa (7.0 to 10.0ksi) inCuba. This paper summarizes the contribution to the development of for High Strength Concrete (HSC) in Cuba of Professors Saenz and Fernandez. It is intended to honor the pioneering work of those who designed structures with HSC and produced it commercially.
