Remediation of a Manufactured Gas Plant Site in Los Angeles, California

The following is a summary of the total volumes removed during the remedial activities: 1. Impacted Soil: 40,602 tons 2. Wastewater: 72,385 gallons 3. Drilling Mud: 153 tons (60-inch pipeline removal) 4. Piping: Approximately 3,000 lineal feet 5. Concrete, brick, and asphalt: Approximately 140 loads. In spite of the constant changing aspects of the project, careful planning and a proactive decisions, kept the project moving forward to a successful completion . The project was completed without any incidents or any formal complaints from neighboring businesses. The final removal action completion report was approved by DTSC in March, 2000.
