FURTHER APPLICATIONS OF FRACTALS IN MACHINING PROCESS MODELING

摘要

Several phenomena and data trends in machining exhibit fractal behavior in some scale. We have suggested the modeling of frictional boundary conditions in machining using fractals in earlier papers. This paper attempts to suggest possible applications of fractals in modeling time series signals obtained for diagnostics during machining and wear patterns observed in cutting tools.
