摘要

Recently, threshold stress intensity factor range: DELTA K_(th) obtained by K_(max)= const. method, has become to be recognized as the intrinsic DELTA K_(th). However, some up-to-date data show that when K_(max) be comes large, threshold will decrease or disappear for some materials. We found that carbon steel S55C is one of these materials and made a study on the mechanism of this decrease.
