A 2.25 MW wind farm was installed and connected to a small municipal electric utility's distribution system in northern Iowa. At times of the year, this small wind farm becomes a significant fraction of the utility's power supply resources. This paper presents information on the percentage of power coming from the wind farm and the expected generation accreditation. It also illustrates the correlation of the wind generation with utility's load profile during peak load periods.
