Introduction to coextrusion systems

Coextrusion has been defined as a process in which two or more polymers are extruded and joined together in a feedblock or die to form a single structure with multiple layers. The coextrusion process is a common practice today in cast film, extrusion coating, blown film, sheet and even blow and injection molding. The focus of this paper will be primarily flat die applications.
