Fundamentals of Multiple-Coated MG Papers For Printing and Laminating

Machien-Glazed (MG) papers provide a unique base sheet for printing and laminating. Application of multiple blade coating layers can enhance these unique features. Selection of coating materials and coating formulations depends on the needs of the laminator and printer, and on the required functionality of the finished, laminated structure. THe use of multiple, dissimilar layers of coating provide a means to achieve design goals that may be difficult or impossible with single coating layers.
