This paper presents an analysis of historical pumping rates for three large well fields in Madison County, Ohio, where ground-water recharge is solely by infiltration through fractured glacial tills. By combining this withdrawal information with long-term static water level data, a minimum sustainable recharge rate can be quantified for the region and applied to other local land-use decisions.
