Indian remote sensing satellite data application potential in groundwater targetting and coastal hydrogeomorphological studies

摘要

Remote sensing data has been used to map the hydrogeomorphology of drought affected areas in Tamil Nadu State and in Andaman Islands of India. Both optical and microwave sensor data were used to map the hydrogeomorphology and structural lineaments. The application of remote sensing tool in targetting/demarcating groundwater potential areas is highlighted in this study.
