Nuclear and Natural Gas Energy Will Be the Inevitable Option for Fujian Power Generation Energy in the 21ST Century

Fujian is located in the southeastern coast of China. Although its water resources are relatively rich, it is short of coal and oil, and it is far away from the energy basis area in the southwest and southeast. So it is a province which lacks of energy resources. In order to keep the sustainable development of economy and environment, this paper analyzes the existing status of Fujian electric power industry, describes the rugency of energy structure adjustment and optimization. And it further suggests the initial scheme of adjustment, and finally demonstrates that the nuclear and natural gas energy will be the inevitable option of Fujian Power generation energy in the 2010s and 2020s.
